Preventative Care/Wellness Plans
A major focus of our practice is preventative medicine to increase the length and quality of your pet's life. Physical examinations, parasite screening, wellness blood test and vaccinations are all part of our wellness program. Our clinic is equipped with full service diagnostic capabilities including Doppler blood pressure, complete digital X-ray services, medical laboratory services, ultrasound and electrocardiography.
We are now offering Wellness Care Plans with affordable monthly payments that will help you budget all of your petís preventative health care needs including wellness exams, vaccines, lab tests - and more - throughout the year. When you sign up for a wellness package you will also receive discounts on other services throughout the year. Click the link for prices and details!
We provide a wide range of surgical procedures from routine neuters and spays to soft tissue surgery and orthopedics. Because of our concern for your pet's safety and comfort we use the safest anesthesia and the most effective pain medication available. All surgeries are closely monitored with an EKG, a pulse oximeter, Doppler blood pressure and a respiratory monitor. Your pet is on a warm circulating heating pad and given intravenous fluids. We also recommend pre-surgical bloodwork based on each individual pet's needs.
This state of the art procedure allows us to safely remove tissue by freezing it to 127 degrees below zero - while you wait and without anesthesia!
Pets have teeth too! Periodontal (gum) disease is one of the most common problems we find in dogs and cats. This leads to foul breath, painful teeth, sore throats and many serious internal health problems. By initiating a dental health program we can greatly improve the quality and length of your pet's life.
Digital Dental Radiography
Digital radiography allows us to better assess oral health issues that are not apparent on a visual exam such as: tooth resorption (lesions), gum disease, and fractured, injured or infected teeth and is included as part of every patient's dental cleaning. This procedure enables us to insure that your petís oral health leads to comfort and quality of life.
We know how important your older pets are to you. That's why we recommend that most dogs and cats have an annual geriatric work-up beginning at about 7 years of age. The best time to recognize any problem is early, because with proper management, many geriatric problems can be controlled.
Our practice believes in the importance of state-of-the-art diagnostics for practicing the best medicine possible on your family member.

When traditional drugs are not safe, effective or desired, we can offer the following alternatives:
Laser Therapy - For pain relief and enhanced healing. Our staff uses the laser for their own injuries and have been impressed with the results. Laser therapy works by using specific wavelengths of light to create theraputic effects. There is little to no sensation during treatment. Occasionally the patient feels mild, soothing warmth or tingling. Areas of pain or inflammation may be sensitive briefly before pain reduction. Numerous studies show laser therapy can help with:
- Joint pain
- Ligament sprains
- Muscle strains
- Neck and back pain
- Hip dysplasia
- Wound healing
- Post orthopedic surgical recovery
Acupuncture - Many people today think of acupuncture when they consider Chinese Medicine. Indeed, in the United States, acupuncture has made a name for itself as an effective modality of pain relief and relaxation.
